We had Lauren's parent teacher conference yesterday. She is doing good in school. She needs to polish her reading, but she is doing pretty good. The teacher was happy with her progress and so are her parents.
Do you remember as a kid when it was parent teacher conference time and your parents would ask that day, "So is there anything that your teacher is going to tell me good or bad?" As a kid you were wondering what in gods name is your teacher going to say to your parents. So you would proceed to spill your guts out. Once your parents got home (at least mine would do this), they would give you the stink eye and look at you and make you think that what she/he had to say was bad. Then you asked them and they said the teacher never told them any of the stuff that you spilled your guts on and that you were a good student and the teacher loved having you in class. All for nothing I tell you!
Well, I tried that with Lauren yesterday and she didn't spill her guts. Wouldn't you know it, the teacher also said that she was a joy to have in school and she didn't have any problems with her!
Thanksgiving is in 2 days (from this post). I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I know that I have a lot to be thankful for this year!
