Today, I went to the Dr. to have a check up. She said that all of my tests looked great and that I'm free and clear of any cancer. I have to go back every 3 months for the next couple of years. I probably won't have any tests done for sometime. I will have routine mammograms done on the right side to watch for anything there. I will have routine blood work done every 6 months. Other than that, I'm good to move forward with a "normal" life. I also went and saw the surgeon today. She took out my port, so I'm officially free and clear! I shall knock on wood for saying this, but NO MORE CHEMO! Hallelujah! It felt so good to get that thing out of me! My arm is a little sore, but nothing major! She did it all right there in the clinic. Today was the day that we end this journey. It's been 11 months, 12 days since I got my diagnosis. Everyone said that it would take about 1 year to fully be done. They were right. I will be celebrating this weekend the end of this journey. Am I sad that it's over? Not on your life! I can't be any happier. Looking back, I can say that it wasn't as bad as some of the stories that I've heard of. Do I want to do it again? Not on your life!
Thanks to you all, you've helped me get through this "little bump in the road" as my husband would say. I can't wait to start a new year!

Tana I am SO SO happy that you are cancer free. Your journey was very inspiring, but I'm SO glad it's over for you. Enjoy your life, and start your new year with a brand new begining.
