I got home on Wednesday morning and I felt 10 times better. I was extremely tired that afternoon, but on Thursday, felt so much better. I continue to get more and more strength every day. I don't overdo it, but try to do a few more things each day. For instance, on Saturday, I actually did my hair up. On Sunday, I not only did my hair, but put makeup on. It's small tasks like that, that I continue to do every day.
I've had some amazing help since I've been home. Not only do I have my wonderful husband, and 2 kids to help me out, but my mom was up and stayed with me on Thursday. On Friday, my dad came up and stayed with me. Today, Monday, my best friend will be here with her son Seth, to entertain me for the day.
Tuesday, I can't wait for, because I have a check up that day, and I sure hope they remove my drains out. It's very hard to try and sleep, as I can't sleep on my sides because of the drains. My tail bone is starting to hurt because I'm tired of sitting around. So I do get up and walk around and try and stretch out my stomach muscles. Hopefully soon, I will be able to stand up straight. It's starting to take a toll on my back.
I didn't realize how major this surgery really was going to be. When people told me that it is one of the major surgeries you will ever have, and told me about their experiences, I didn't think that it would be all that hard for me. Yeah right. It is hard. It's hard I think because I bounced back pretty fast from my last surgery. Not the case this time around. I just keep thinking that I will be back to normal once the weather gets much better. It's good to be stuck in the house while I sit here and watch it snow outside.
Thank you to all of you who have sent your well wishes. It really does help me pass the day along!
Love to you all!
