Tomorrow, 4/11/08, at 7:30 am, I will be under the knife. I'm going in to have a tummy tuck and a boob put back on. It will be nice to have this put all behind me. I am very nervous, excited, anxious, etc. I had a meeting with the Dr. today and it sounds like he knows exactly what he is doing. At least I sure as heck hope so. I will be checking into the hospital at 5:30 am. The surgery will last about 6 hours. I'm hoping that I will catch up on some sleep! This will be my last post for a little while, since I will be in the hospital for 5 days, not sure exactly when I will be up to sitting at the computer typing away!
Thank you for all of your nice words of encouragement, thoughts, and prayers! They really do help. I'm very lucky that I have such good family and friends. My mother-in-law is staying with us this weekend and helping out getting the kids to and from school, and generally keeping them extremely busy! I'm very thankful for that.
Most of you have asked when can we come see you? I say if you really want to come and see me, call me first before coming up. I really am asking that no one come and see me on Friday. I probably won't be up for visitors, and probably won't remember much of Friday, except maybe for the date, 4/11/08, the day that was the final chapter in my journey!
I believe that tonight I will sleep good (maybe that is just wishful thinking). I am extremely tired, since I haven't slept most of the nights lately. I've been too busy working, getting stuff ready around the house.
