Back to work!

I have officially been back to work for 2 weeks now and it feels great.  Call me crazy, but when you are sitting around the house and only able to read books and watch TV, after about 2 weeks, you would get stir crazy as well!  I had a checkup last week with the surgeon that did my mastectomy and she said that I looked good.  I got a clean bill of health.  She was amazed how fast I had recovered.  She said if she was the one that did my reconstructive surgery, she would have told me I would have been out for 8-12 weeks.  Whew!  I thought 4 were long enough!  I am doing well.  My energy is back to normal.  I also asked when the next time I would get a scan done and she said that it might be awhile.  Most insurance really don't like to pay for them since they are so expensive, so I would guess I might get them yearly, if that.

 

On another note, we have the Relay For Life event this weekend here in Spokane at SFCC.  Come down and see what it's all about.  It's a great event!  I will be there to walk the survivor lap.  I truly feel like a survivor.  I am all done with my journey!!!
